Epik High

One of my idols I forgot to mention.in the previous post.So here goes...

Epik High is a korean hip hop trio that made hip hop mainstream. It consists of Tablo,Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz. These three dudes brought hip hop to Korea, without them hip hop would probably take a longer ride in Korea. They are really brave and honest people, something like Namewee but better. They just say what is on their mind without giving a damn what other people think about them.Their lyrics are really poetic and meaningful. And this year 2012,they are back with a whole new album. They are here riding stronger, higher and better than ever. They took a long hiatus due to a few reasons.

First off,Mithra and Tukutz have military duty.So they were gone for 2-3 years.
Second,Tablo got into big trouble.Because Tablo is really smart, and highly intelligent. He has an IQ of over 150 and he manage to finish a 3 year course in STANFORD UNIVERSITY in 6 months. The reason why he did is because he never wanted to enter university but his parents wanted him to.So to him, there are only 2 choices, get expelled or graduate? He chose Graduate. So he took as many classes as possible as many classes possible and just piled up the credits so he could graduate fast and he did it.HE FREAKIN DID IT.
Unfortunately they are some people who do not believe that he could be so smart and talented so they started a group called "We Want The Truth From Tablo" (I forgot the korean name) These people are so narrow-minded,they refuse to believe in anything Tablo shows them.He shows them his certificate,he even ask the officials from Stanford to confirm his attendance and the fact he graduated from Stanford Uni.But,NO,they wouldn't believe him.His old company,Woollim Entertainment was useless and failed to protect Tablo,so he left together with his Epik High members. He went to court to sue for defamation. And due this annoying matter,he has alot of financial problems and stuff. But in the end he won,and the guy behind the group went to JAIL!Hah!In your freaking face! But there are still idiots who absolutely refuse to believe that Tablo is telling the truth and started a second group. But luckily the second group didn't disrupt Tablo's life as much as the first.

Due to that problem,Tablo went through depression, financial problems and he was alone. He face haters here and there.Thank goodness, they are some real High Skoolers (Epik High Fans) that support him.He also felt really bad for his daughter and his wife for having to go through this with him.To him,he didn't marry her,to make her go through such hardship. So he felt really sorry for them.He wrote a song for them called "From the bottom"

I always thought they song was Tablo saying "From the bottom of my heart I'm sorry you have to go through this as well,I'm so grateful and thankful for you being with me as well, from the bottom of my heart,I love you"Well that is MY interpretation of the song, not Tablo's.In my opinion,Tablo is a real honest, down to earth guy who just wants to do what he loves. He is a real fighter in my opinion. He is just so humble and grateful.Like for his career,he thank the government for banning his songs because in a way,it propelled people's interest in finding out what he sang about and why did it got banned. He just do his thing, and his thing is honest music.Haha, just quoting Tablo from his CNN TalkAsia interview. The best part of the interview was when he said "I just want the whole world for my baby" Isn't that so adorable?!And his daughter is like a mini version of Tablo.Just so cute!

I'm just so inspired by Tablo's determination and his love.He is just so sweet and kind and lovable. He isn't the most good looking person in the world but he is one of the people you can't hate unless you are delusional.I just wish I can fuel the way he studies.By the way,Epik High won best rap performance group for MAMAs and they gave a really epic performance!Remember to check it out on youtube!Epik High dress up like a whole batman villain scene and they certainly look the part really well.
